The Obama Grasstank was developed in early 2007 based on ideas from two Draft Obama volunteers who met through the Draft Obama movement but who never met in person:

Rob Mahini is an attorney living in Virginia and a part of the "draft-roots" supporting Senator Obama's presidential campaign. In 2006, he volunteered for Senator Jim Webb's election campaign.

Rob Dolin is a software engineer living in Seattle, WA and active in the local Democratic party and local, state, and national Young Democrats groups.  Rob is also a founding member of TechDems.
