College Democrats of America are asking students around the country to join in a nationwide call-in campaign to oppose a Republican sponsored bill that makes it harder for 5 million students to afford college. If passed in its current form, H.R. 609 would put higher education further out of reach for young Americans by cutting critical student aid programs, such as the Pell Grant which makes it possible for 5 million students to go to college.
